Training

Training for new horizons with Gethin MTB

Here at Gethin MTB we are proud to offer a full suite of training courses fo those wishing to gain cycling related qualifications.

From cycle maintenance to guiding qualifications, from First Aid to National Standard cycle training, Gethin MTB can deliver the course you need to gain the qualifications you want.

  • MIAS Mountain Bike Instructor Award
If you want to run guided rides or offer skills development sessions, this is the course for you. The more advanced levels will also qualify you to run your own MIAS qualification training sessions.
  • MIAS Mountain Bike Junior Leader Award
Ideal for young people looking to start training and work towards a cycling-related career path, this course offers the foundational skills that can be built on as they get older.
  • MIAS Cycle FIT Maintenance Award
Whether you want to save money on your own cycle maintenance bills or you want to know how to look after your kids bikes to ensure their safety, this is a great qualification that gives you the skills and confidence you need.
  • National Standard instructor training and schools courses
Remember Cycling Proficiency? This is the modern equivalent as designed by the Department for Transport. Gethin MTB can run courses in your school or train you as a qualified instructor (one of the few places in Wales that are certified to do so).
  • HSE First Aid courses
A First Aid certificate is essential if you are to be guiding or coaching in any way.
